Meet Katelyn Bracey— College Park Educator and New Mom
Hi! I am Katelyn Bracey and I am originally from Winter Park. I graduated from Lake Highland and went to Emmanuel College in Boston. After I graduated College, I did a year of service in Newark, New Jersey where I worked with homeless teens/young adults assisting them with getting their GED. I then went to Fordham University for my Masters in Social Work and worked all over New York City with children and families for the past 10 years.
I actually met my husband, Brad when we were in high school and we reconnected when we were both living in Manhattan. We had a “micro” wedding in Central Park right before we moved back down here, which was a great ending to our New York chapter.
Brad was born and raised in College Park so when we moved back down here, College Park was the only place we were looking to live!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
We just welcomed our son Callan in March! We also have an adorable Cavalier Peaches who we consider our first baby. I am actually 1 of 6 children and all of my siblings are scattered around the country.
